    It’s neat, but imagine using it for an extended period of time: your arms would fall off.

    I’d also be interested in seeing an application of the technology that was not so abstract.

    Agreed. I’m not convinced that interactions with data needs to require the gestures of an orchestra conductor, but it’s still pretty cool to watch. Though there are some pretty useful and fun implementations of remote/gestural input devices (Yes, I plan to buy a Wii for Christmas), I’m thinking that everyday interactions like simply typing a sentence work better with physical/tactile input devices than with virtual/gestural devices. Though I own neither mobile device, I’m guessing most folks would prefer the raised/tactile keys of Blackberry to the flat/virtual-keys of an iPhone.
